TaskLink — Privacy Policy

TaskLink does not operate any servers and does not collect, transmit, or sell your personal data. All task data is stored locally on your device.

1. What TaskLink Does

TaskLink is a browser extension that lets you schedule reading and work tasks directly from any webpage. When you add a task, TaskLink saves it to your browser's local storage and creates an event on your Google Calendar using your own Google account.

The following data is stored only on your device, never transmitted to TaskLink's servers (which do not exist):

This data is stored in your browser's local storage (IndexedDB and chrome.storage.local / browser.storage.local). It is removed when you uninstall the extension or clear your browser's extension data.

3. Google Account and Google Calendar

TaskLink uses Google OAuth 2.0 to authenticate with your Google account. This is required solely to create calendar events on your behalf. TaskLink:

TaskLink does not share any data with third parties, advertisers, or analytics services. The only external service TaskLink communicates with is the Google Calendar API, using your own Google account credentials, solely to create the calendar events you request.

6. Analytics and Tracking

TaskLink contains no analytics code, tracking pixels, or telemetry of any kind.

7. Children's Privacy

TaskLink does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be published at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the extension after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
